PROCESSION AND CALL TO ORDER

 

James Hutson, Municipal Clerk and Presiding Officer, welcomes members of the public attending in person and virtually. The Inaugural Council meeting is called to order at 6:04 p.m.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

 

The Municipality of Middlesex Centre recognizes that we are gathering on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Leni-Lunape Peoples. We acknowledge the enduring presence of First Nation, Métis and Inuit people on this land and are committed to moving forward in the spirit of reconciliation and respect.

DECLARATIONS OF OFFICE

 

The 2022-2026 Council elect members for the Municipality of Middlesex Centre each proceeds to read aloud, swear and sign the Declaration of Office in accordance with Section 232 of the Municipal Act, 2001.

INAUGURAL ADDRESS

 

Mayor DeViet assumes the Chair for the remainder of the meeting and provides an inaugural address to those in attendance.

Being a By-law to adopt and confirm all actions and proceedings of the Council of the Municipality of Middlesex Centre at the Council meeting held on November 16, 2022
