Electronic Emergency Council Meeting

Mayor DeViet to call the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.

In response to COVID-19 we continue to hold Council meetings electronically. Members of the public are invited to participate in this meeting of Council by accessing the meeting which will be live-streamed on our Middlesex Centre YouTube channel.

The Municipal Conflict of Interest Act requires any member of Council declaring a pecuniary interest and the general nature thereof, where the interest of a member of Council has not been disclosed by reason of the member’s absence from the meeting, to disclose the interest at the first open meeting attended by the member of Council and otherwise comply with the Act.

  • THAT the minutes of the Middlesex Centre Council meeting held on January 20, 2021 be adopted as printed.

Items listed under the Consent Agenda are considered routine and may require discussion but no action on the part of Council. Consent items are received in one motion. Council members may request that one or more item be removed for further action.

  • THAT the Items listed under the heading of Consent Agenda for February 3, 2021 be adopted as recommended.

  • THAT CAO Report CAO-2-2021 re: Housekeeping Amendments to Procurement Policy be received;

    AND THAT By-Law 2020-102 be amended as outlined in Report CAO-2-2021.

  • THAT Report CPS-03-2021 entitled “Middlesex Centre Website and Social Media Overview, 2020” be received.

  • THAT Report CMS-01-2021 re: Ilderton Library Lease Agreement be received.

    AND THAT the Ilderton Library Lease Agreement appended to Report CMS-01-2021 be approved.

  • THAT the Petition for Drainage submitted by landowners proceed;

    AND THAT staff be directed to notify the affected landowners and appropriate agencies of the Council’s decision to proceed with the drainage works;

    AND FURTHER THAT following the notice to the appropriate agencies, Mike DeVos, P.Eng. of Spriet Associates be appointed to prepare a Drainage Report for the creation of a new Municipal Drain to replace the existing Bell Award Drain.

  • THAT Report CMS-02-2021 re: Community Services Master Plan - Project Charter be received;

    AND THAT the Project Charter appended to Report CMS-02-2020 be approved.

  • THAT Report CLK-03-2021 re: Process to fill Ward 4 Council Vacancy be received for information;

    AND THAT Council resolves that Option _____ as detailed in Report CLK-03-2021 be utilized as the method to fill the vacant Ward 4 Council seat.

  • THAT Report CLK-02-2021 re: Interim Control By-law for Consent Applications be received;

    AND THAT an Interim Control By-law for those lands identified on schedule “A” for the Municipality of Middlesex Centre be adopted.

  • THAT the request by Peter McConnell on behalf of Regina Serrarens to remove the (h-1) holding symbol from the zoning of the land known legally as PLAN 305 PT LOT 8 RP 33R17506 PART 1 be approved

  • THAT the request by Andrew Hentz on behalf of A and M Sod Supply Limited to remove the (h-4) holding symbol from the zoning of the land known legally as PLAN 33M399 PT BLK 16, PLAN 33R-7161 save and except Part 1 be approved.

  • THAT the Council for the Municipality of Middlesex Centre adjourn to closed session at ________ pursuant to Section 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended to discuss the following matters:

    Section 239 (2)(b) personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees.

    Section 239 (2)(c) a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board;
