Mayor DeViet calls the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.

In response to COVID-19 we continue to hold Council meetings electronically.

Members of the public are invited to participate in this meeting of Council by accessing the meeting which will be live-streamed on our Middlesex Centre YouTube channel.

There are no additions to the November 10, 2021 Council agenda.

Peter Simcisko is in attendance virtually to provide an overview of the Public Meeting presentation on behalf of Watson & Associates Economists Ltd. 

Jeff Fung, a member of the public, is in attendance virtually to comment on the Development Charges Amendment.

The Chair called for any additional speakers and no members of the public came forward.

    THAT Report CMS-13-2021 re: Deerhaven & Kilworth Park RFP Results be received;

    AND THAT the Deerhaven Park & Kilworth Optimist Park Play Structure RFP (RFP-CMS-2021-03) be awarded to Henderson Recreation Equipment Ltd. with a total cost of $194,214.10 (excluding HST).

Deputy Mayor Brennan provides the following update from the County Council meeting held on November 9, 2021:

MLPS Vehicle Design Upgrade program was presented and approved which includes the re-branding of all vehicles (where practical) be completed no later than 2027;

Boulevard Strategy Group was the successful proponent for a Communications strategy RFP;

A service agreement with Nimble Information Strategies Inc. was approved for Electronic Document Management;

The County exempted plan of condominium File No. 39T-MC-CDM2102 from the full condominium approval process;

An information update relating to Intake 3 of the Municipal Modernization Program was provided;

Allison Warwick, Mayor of Thames Centre and ____ Deputy Mayor of Southwest Middlesex were announced their candidacy for the role of Warden in 2022.

    THAT the Council for the Municipality of Middlesex Centre adjourn to closed session at 10:46 pursuant to Section 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended to discuss the following matters:

    Section 239 (2)(a)  the security of the property of the municipality or local board;

    Section 239 (2)(b)  personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees;

    Section 239 (2)(c)  a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board.
